Attempting to give myself another incentive to post at least once a week (and thanks to fellow blogger, Derek, over at Nerd Life http://comicsforeveryone.wordpress.com/, who does his own version of what I’m doing) I will be putting together a post entitled Bookworm News. I will attempt to round up news about books, and all those related that happens during the current weeks and bring them to you on here.

Movies

Currently, the biggest Bookworm News that I’ve encountered this week is the new MockingJay Part 1  full teaser trailer being released, which was AWESOME! I always love seeing the trailers for movies, even if they do end up tanking and being horrible.

Also, I believe, was released this week was The Fifty Shades of Gray trailer, or something along those lines. I won’t be posting that trailer as I’m currently in class, and feel the need to watch the trailers that I post to make sure it’s the correct trailer and okay to be viewed. But, I really don’t want to watch that trailer with a bunch of people sitting behind me.

Over the weekend, If I Stay and The Giver didn’t do as well as was hoped at the Box Office.

IfIStay

Following the success of The Fault In Our Stars, John Green’s novel Paper Towns has cast it’s leading lady: model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne will play Margo Roth Spiegelman opposite Natt Wolff, who played Isaac in Fault.

Opening this weekend is The Maze Runner, a movie based on the book with the same title by James Dashner which follows Thomas after he was deposited into a community of boys that are all attempting to stay alive within a large maze that join together in an attempt to stay alive

Another movie opening this weekend at the theatres is This is where I leave you, based on the novel with the same title by Jonathon Tropper, when four adult siblings must spend a week together in their childhood home after their Father died.

Books

According to Russell Edwards, author of the Naming Jack the Ripper, he found out the identity of Jack the Ripper after buying the blood stained shawl of Catherine Eddowes that had the DNA of one of the prime suspects at the time: Aaron Kosminski.

That’s all the news that I’ve found so far, but I’m eagerly on the look out for more news! If you know of any stories, or new and exciting book news that I’ve missed, please feel free to let me know in the comments.
