The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 came in first at the box office this weekend, followed by Big Hero 6 in second, Gone Girl came in fifth this week, and The Theory of Everything came in tenth.

Coming to theatres in January 2015 is the true story of SEAL Chief Chris Kyle called American Sniper, which is based on the autobiography by Kyle called American Sniper: The Autobiography of The Most Lethal Sniper in US Military History , which follows Kyle’s military career through his 150 confirmed kills even though his career was not made public information by the Pentagon.

Recently released this past week was the trailer for Jurassic World, the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park series that is based on the book of the same name written by Michael Crichton, which has friends excited for another movie revolving around genetically enhanced dinosaurs.


A new teaser trailer has been released for the newest season of Game of Thrones, which is based on George R. R. Martin’s book series by the same name, where the trailer concentrates on Arya Stark and someone saying that they see darkness in her. The clip directs fans to a website,, that promises to show fans ‘visions of the future’, which has left a number of fans hoping for longer trailers about other characters.


German inventor, Patrick Priebe, has created a watch that was inspired by 007 himself: James Bond. Priebe says he was inspired by Bond, who uses a lazer watch among a number of gadgets in his movies and books a like.


With the end of the semester quickly approaching, with exams and assignments due dates coming up very quickly, I’m going to put the Bookworm News on hold for now as I’m not sure when I will be able to post again. If I’m able to post a Bookworm News post during the week, then I will. But, otherwise keep a look out for some book reviews upcoming on The Maze Runner, Betrayed and City of Glass as those are the books I’m currently reading.
